Mission Committee
This was another busy and productive year for mission giving in our church with several fund raising events held to raise money for our trip to Mexico. Because of these efforts, our mission spending was approximately $62,400 which represents about 11.6 % of our overall CPC expenditure of $540,000 ($467K operating and $73K designated).

This year approximately 30 people went to Mexico for a week to help with construction projects to aid the people of this northern border region. As this turned out to be more costly than we anticipated, we had several fund raisers such as Clifton Day, Spaghetti Dinner, Clifton Car Show food sales, meatball sub lunches and bake sales as well as funds received from the sale of donated office furniture. The total amount raised and spent on this trip was $25,947 which includes $13,759 paid by CPC participants.General Mission
CPC contributed $6700 to the National Capital Presbytery which includes $500 for Wheeler-Waddell missionary support and $1000 for New Church Development. The Special Offerings sponsored by NCP that CPC supported are Christmas Joy Gift $3387; One Great Hour of Sharing $1447; and Mission Challenge ’07 $365.
We give thanks to God for so many opportunities given to our church to do His work both near and abroad and hope to increase our giving even more in 2008. Praise be to God!
