Local Mission

CPC supports the following local ministries:

Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) is a primary partner in local mission for CPC. People seeking direct assistance from CPC are referred to WFCM, a Christian agency that serves many of the most vulnerable families in our area. WFCM is able to assess needs and provide assistance to help in both crisis situations and with long-term challenges. WFCM, a collaborative effort by local churches, offers a food pantry, utility subsidies and other services. In addition to our financial support of WFCM, many CPC members also provide transportation services for WFCM clients.

SERVE, a shelter and hunger center located in Manassas, is supported by CPC both financially and with regular donations of food.

The LAMB Center is a day center for homeless and precariously housed adults in the Fairfax area. The LAMB Center provides meals, showers and laundry services and also job and spiritual counseling. CPC provides monthly hot meals for the center in addition to financial support.

CPC has established a partnership with the Fort Belvoir Fisher House. They provide accommodations and support, free of charge, to the families of wounded veterans receiving care at the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.

CPC supports the Prison Fellowship Ministry (Angel Tree). Our congregation provides Christmas gifts on behalf of several inmate fathers to their local children. The mothers are also given much needed gift cards.

Kids to Camp: CPC has provided full scholarships for several children to attend summer week at Camp Highroad.

CPC continues to sponsor Boy Scout Troop 1104 as part of our outreach to youth in the community. We have been the recipients of many Eagle Scout projects including the improvement of the trail for the preschool and the painting of the garage.

CPC provides meeting space for several local Girl Scout Troops.

Domestic Disaster Response: Our contributions, through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, have helped those affected by natural disasters in the U.S.  We have also provided supplies for clean-up buckets.
