Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get there?

CPC  is located at 12748 Richards Lane in Clifton, VA.  It shares a parking lot off of Clifton Road with Trummer’s restaurant.   The road leading up to the church parking lot is right next to the church sign on Clifton Road.  The church is also right next to the railroad tracks, and is across the railroad tracks from the Clifton Store.  Use the Google Maps application to find directions from your house.

Where do I park?

The Clifton Presbyterian Church has easily accessible parking right in front of the church building.  Drive up through the Trummer’s restaurant parking lot into the spaces right in front of the church.

What are services like?

With our family of faith, we pray, hear God’s Word, listen to sermons, sing, and are led in worship by the Pastors, members of the congregation, and the sanctuary choir.  Our worship service blends the comfort and familiarity of traditional worship with opportunities for children, instrumentalists, and smaller ensembles to lead us in our worship.   We gather together each week to offer our praise to God and to be together in a caring and mission-focused community of Christ.  We never make visitors stand and introduce themselves, but we will welcome you and be happy to see you anytime you come to worship here.

What do I wear?

All are welcome at the Clifton Presbyterian Church. If you prefer dressy, business, or casual attire, chances are there will be others dressed much like you no matter when you visit.  Sunday mornings are a time when many prefer to wear their Sunday best, but even if you or your children and youth prefer to dress more casually, you’ll be right at home with us.

Where do my kids go?

The children and youth of the Clifton Presbyterian Church are loved and cared for with the love of God.  You can rest easy in worship knowing they are in a safe and loving environment.

There is childcare during the worship service. You can sign your child in and meet the nursery care giver and the weekly volunteers. They will find you in the sanctuary if they need to be in touch with you while your child is in the nursery.  Many parents, even parents of babies, like to keep their children in the sanctuary with them until Children’s Time and then bring their kids to the nursery at that time.   Many parents drop their children off in the nursery before the service.  You can decide what works best for your family.

How do I get involved in Mission?

Mission opportunities abound at CPC! If you are looking for a way to serve God by serving others with your family, with your youth, or for yourself, there is something here for you. Each week, we hear a “Minute for Mission” from our Mission Committee with ways for us to serve. CPC is a mission-focused church where our members are able to live out their calling as disciples of Jesus Christ in real hands-on ways.
