Mission Statement
A Landing Place provides a welcoming community where young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities can build friendships, share individual gifts, and experience belonging. Guided by Christ’s example of welcome and love, we create a gentle environment where every person is valued and encouraged to thrive through meaningful activities, service opportunities, and shared experiences that foster personal growth, connection, and joy.

Program Details
A Landing Place members gather on select weekdays at Clifton Presbyterian Church. Each four-hour gathering offers a unique program, with a typical day including guided group conversation, creative expression, movement, and lunch together. Throughout the month, members also enjoy service projects, community outings and visits from special guests. While A Landing Place is an outreach ministry of Clifton Presbyterian Church, it is a community program with no doctrinal component.
A Landing Place will initially meet 1-2 weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (final days and times are still being finalized). We have intentionally chosen to begin with a smaller schedule so we can get to know our members and families well and establish a strong foundation. As the program grows, we hope to thoughtfully expand our days and hours over time.

Membership Information
Membership Process
We are currently accepting inquiries from interested families. As part of the membership process, we will invite families to tour our facility and meet with us to discuss the program and determine whether A Landing Place is a good fit. Our highest priority is creating a community where every member feels safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Timeline
Our hope is to identify our founding members by mid-September and then hold several complimentary "soft opening" days. These trial days will allow members to get to know one another, help us observe group dynamics, and give us an opportunity to fine-tune our daily schedule before officially launching. We anticipate beginning our regular program on or around October 1.
Program Fees
There will be a fee for participation, and we will not be able to accept Medicaid waivers. However, families may be able to use self-directed funds to pay for the program. While our fee structure has not yet been finalized, we anticipate a daily rate of $100, with a reduced introductory rate of $80 per day for our founding members during the first three months. We also hope to offer scholarship assistance in the future, although those funds will likely not be available at launch.
